The Katharine M. Grosscup Scholarships in Horticulture will be awarded to encourage the study of horticulture and related fields. The fellowship is open to rising college sophomores, juniors, seniors, or master's degree candidates in the fall of 2027. Eligibility is open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents who are currently and actively enrolled in a U.S. based institution in eligible states. Students should be majoring in horticulture or related fields. Awards up to $3,500 are paid directly to recipients in support of their education and research. Grosscup scholars may apply for funding a second year; the maximum second year award is $1,000. Two letters of recommendation are required to be eligible for a GCA scholarship. The first letter must be from the applicant's advisor on their academic progress and achievements, personal qualities, and qualifications for the summer program or project they have developed or selected.
