1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Eastern Orthodox Committee on Scouting offers scholarships each year. They select young people who demonstrate love of God and their Orthodox Christian faith, as shown by their involvement and achievements in church, scouting, school, and community, their highest award project, as well as in a short, written statement. Applicants must be a senior in an accredited high school. Homeschooled students should contact the Scholarship Chair for guidance in completing the application. Applicants must also be an active, registered member of an EOCS-recognized scouting organization: Scouting America (Scouts BSA, Exploring, Venturing, Sea Scouts), Girl Scouts of the USA, Trail Life USA, American Heritage Girls, and Camp Fire. They must have earned the Eagle Scout or Gold Award, or the highest award of another EOCS-recognized scouting organization. Explorers must also have earned the Eagle Scout Award. Applicants must also be a communicant member of an Eastern Orthodox Christian Church recognized by the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the USA. They must have earned the EOCS Alpha Omega Religious Award. Applicants must submit reference letters from their priest, scout leader, school counselor, and adult community reference who knows them well.
