The Kosciuszko Foundation Studies and Research Grants program awards scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students to study full-time at Polish universities and for undergraduate and postgraduate research at state universities and institutes in Poland. Scholarships are awarded for graduate and postdoctoral research in Poland, teaching fellowships, and undergraduate and graduate full-time studies at Polish public universities. Studies and Research projects may be conducted from October 1st, 2026 through June 30th, 2027 at public universities and institutions of higher learning in Poland. For graduate and postdoctoral research, applicants may be graduate students and research staff who must hold at least a Master's degree or equivalent at the time of application; or advanced post-doctoral fellows, instructors and assistant professors (or equivalent). For undergraduate and graduate studies, applicants must be currently enrolled in full-time studies at public universities in Poland. Students must be enrolled as International. Polish ancestry is not required. Candidates who intend to conduct studies in Poland must submit an essay and a certificate of enrollment in their studies, and candidates who intend to conduct research in Poland must submit a detailed proposal of their research project and a letter of invitation from the host institution. Applicants must also provide the names and email addresses of two individuals who can serve as recommenders for the scholarship. The authors should be the two individuals who can best speak to the applicant's ability to carry out the project being proposed; and they should discuss the applicant's intellectual and professional preparation. At least one of the letters must be from an individual with an academic rank of Professor. Please visit the award's website for more information.
