1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association College Scholarships will be awarded to those who are members of good standing with the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association for at least three years prior to the date of the scholarship application and hold one of the following policies in his or her own name: a $1,000 minimum permanent life insurance certificate; a $5,000 minimum term certificate; or an annuity certificate. Members currently in Z-Branches from the former Polish Women's Alliance of America (PWAA) are eligible for FCSLA scholarships once they hold, in their own name, an FCSLA issued policy for 3 years prior to the date of the scholarship application. Applicants must also be enrolled at an accredited college or university located in the United States and be enrolled in a program leading to an associate or bachelor's degree or to include post-graduate work leading to at least an associate's degree. Freshman applicants must submit an official transcript of their high school grades, including the most recent grading period, along with any scores of a college entrance examination board test. Freshman applicants must also submit their college letter of acceptance. Other college applicants must submit their most recent official college transcript or university record. Applicants must also submit a letter of recommendation, which is not from a family member. Winners are chosen by a committee of impartial judges from the educational field, based on the following criteria: Academic Standing; Church and/or Community Service; and School Involvement and Essay.
