1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Tim & Ann Straub Scholarship is open to graduating seniors from Lane County high schools, with preference given to students from Oakridge. Eligible applicants must pursue a major and career in medicine, including pre-med, nursing, or physician assistant programs, and must be first-generation college students at the time of enrollment. Students must attend a four-year public or nonprofit institution and enroll at least half time. Financial need is considered, and FAFSA or ORSAA filing is required. Non-Oregon residents who do not list an Oregon institution on the FAFSA must upload pages 1 and 2 of their FAFSA Submission Summary to be considered. The scholarship is automatically renewable for up to five years if renewal criteria are met. February 15 is the early bird deadline and March 1 is the final deadline for all applications and materials to be submitted to OSAC.
