The ADEA/Sigma Phi Alpha Linda DeVore Scholarship is awarded to one student pursuing allied dental education studies at the baccalaureate, master's or doctoral degree level. An applicant must be enrolled as a student in a course of study in dental hygiene, education or public health (baccalaureate, master's or doctoral degrees). They must demonstrate a commitment to leadership in education or health care (e.g., serving as an exemplary class officer or organizing a major class or schoolwide community service activity), and be in good academic standing in their program of study. Applicants must submit a letter of nomination from a faculty member addressing the applicant's leadership qualities and a letter of support from the applicant's dean, dental hygiene director or equivalent in an academic setting.
