1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The BK Krenzer Memorial Re-entry Scholarship was initially funded by her beloved peers in the Members-at-Large group of SWE. This scholarship is available to Engineering and Engineering Technology majors. This scholarship is renewable for five years. Applicants must be studying full-time, however, exceptions will be made for reentry or nontraditional students. Re-entry and nontraditional students are exempt from minimum GPA requirements. SWE scholarships support students pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in engineering, engineering technology, and fields related to engineering. Applicants must be studying at an ABET-accredited program in engineering, technology or computing in the upcoming academic year. Students who attend an ABET-accredited community college program are also eligible to apply. A SWE membership is not required to apply. However, becoming a SWE member may qualify applicants for additional scholarships and add additional points to the applicant's application review score. The scholarship reviewers focus on extracurricular activities, work history, volunteerism, and interest and involvement in STEM. Applicants must submit one reference, either from someone who can speak to the applicant's academic work, such as a teacher, or someone who knows the applicant well and can speak to their character, such as a coach or supervisor. Students entering their first year of undergraduate study, including high school seniors, may apply from December 1, 2025 - February 2, 2026. Undergraduates entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year or pursuing graduate studies may apply from February 10, 2026 - March 31, 2026. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Society of Women Engineers for more information.
