The American Legion Department of Kansas Music Committee Scholarship is available to all Kansas high school students who have distinguished themselves in the field of music and who will major or minor in music at an approved Kansas junior college, college or university. Applicants must have a distinguished background in the field of music and will major or minor in music at an approved Kansas Jr. College, College or University. They must be an average or better student scholastically. Only high school seniors, college level freshmen or sophomores will be considered. Applicants must submit three letters of reference, one of which must be from the applicant's music instructor or teacher. The latest 1040 income statement of the applicant's supporting parent(s) is also required.
