Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many colleges have suspended or relaxed some admitted student requirements and extended decision and enrollment deposit deadlines. We recommend that you contact the colleges to which you have been accepted directly for the most updated and accurate information.

Furman University, founded in 1826, is a private, liberal arts university. Its emphasis on education outside the traditional classroom, including undergraduate research, internships, apprenticeships, volunteer service and study-abroad programs, makes the school distinctive. By supplementing classroom instruction with other opportunities, it gives students greater responsibility for their education, develops their self-confidence and sharpens their leadership skills. Its 750-acre campus, five miles from Greenville, is located at the foot of Paris Mountain.
