Alfred State College, also known as SUNY College of Technology, is a public university and part of the State University of New York system. It was founded in 1908 as a state school of agriculture. Today, the college offers a wide variety of majors (from welding to business) and focuses on hands-on instruction. Its 150-acre rural campus is located 75 miles south of Rochester, NY.
