USC-Spartanburg, founded in 1967, is a public, multipurpose university. Programs are offered through the College of Arts & Sciences, the Mary Black School of Nursing, and the Schools of Business Administration & Economics and Education. Its 298-acre campus is located in Spartanburg, 95 miles northeast of Columbia.
