Georgia State University, founded in 1913, is a public university. It is the South''s premier urban research university, offering more than 200 fields of study in 50 accredited programs awarding bachelor''s through doctoral degrees. Programs are offered through the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Education, Health and Human Sciences, and Law, and the School of Policy Studies. It is the second largest public institution in Georgia and the state''s most diverse university.
