1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Kathy and Rich Carroll Scholarship Fund for First Responders was established by the Carrolls in 2024 to fulfill Rich's perceived obligation to pay back for the honor of a career in the Fire Service. It is hopeful that any student who is a recipient of this incentive will find the same satisfaction that Rich received in the very necessary and rewarding field of helping others in their communities. Graduating High School Seniors in Dutchess County planning to study in a field of fire science, emergency response, EMT or Paramedic are encouraged to apply. Two current letters of recommendation from teachers or guidance counselors, clergy or persons other than family members who are familiar with the applicant's skills and abilities are required. These letters must have been written within the last six months. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley for more information.
