1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
Education has always been a high priority with the Doherty Family. Third generation Dohertys now lead this group of companies and in keeping with the family's educational priorities they and the Boards of Directors are pleased to offer the Doherty-Package Pavement Company Scholarship to the children of company employees. Students continuing their education beyond high school whose parents or guardians have been employed by one of the companies for at least three years are eligible to apply. Applicants must have a parent or guardian who must be an employee of the Package Pavement Company Inc., Red Wing Properties Inc., Scarsdale Acres Inc., or Stormville Trucking Inc. companies for at least three years. Applicants must also demonstrate ability to succeed in college, financial need, and involvement in volunteer activities or employment. The scholarship is not renewable, but winners may apply for up to three subsequent years. Two current letters of recommendation from teachers or guidance counselors, clergy or persons other than family members who are familiar with the applicant's skills and abilities are required.
