1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Corey G. Ingram Memorial Scholarship was established in honor of beloved hero Corey Ingram. Corey was born and raised in Poughkeepsie, New York. He graduated from Poughkeepsie High School in 2006 before attending Dutchess Community College. After a few semesters at DCC, Corey joined the US Navy where he served for over 8 years before making the ultimate sacrifice in August of 2017. To honor Corey and give back to the community he loved so dearly, the Ingram family has created this scholarship in his name for Poughkeepsie High School seniors to help them pay for school after graduation. Preference will be given to students from an underrepresented population with a GPA of C plus to B plus range. Two current letters of recommendation from teachers or guidance counselor, clergy or persons other than family members who are familiar with the applicant's skills and abilities are required. These letters must have been written within the last six months. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley for more information.
