The Betty Bell Scholarship for Kauai Women was established in 2020 to benefit women from Kauai who exhibit strong work ethic and may not normally have the opportunity to go to college. The HCF requires applicants to be a resident of the State of Hawaii, demonstrate financial need, and be in good academic standing by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. The donor requires applicants to be a resident of Kauai island, and to be a female student. The donor will give preference for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing. Preference will also be given based on this order of priority: students who are working mothers and returning learners; students who are working mothers; and students who are returning learners. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Hawai'i Community Foundation for more information.
