1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Wings for Val Foundation Lieutenant Valerie Cappelaere Delaney Memorial Scholarship honors Lt. Delaney's memory, and is open to a female WAI member from any country. It will be awarded to an individual pursuing a private fixed-wing pilot certificate or any subsequent flight ratings. FAA Class 1-3 medicals are preferred; Basic Medical will be considered. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the recipient's flight school of choice and must be used within a year of receiving the award. Applicants must be a current member of Women in Aviation International by October 1, 2024, and their membership must not expire before March 2025. Two professional letters of recommendation are required. Letters may not be from family members.
