Marshall University offers a variety of merit-based scholarships to incoming freshman students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, with automatic consideration at the time of admission. The Marshall University Opportunity Grant Scholarship is available to first-time freshmen students who are West Virginia residents, students who are classified as "Metro students," and non-West Virginia residents. Applicants must have an ACT score of 20 or SAT score of 1030-1090. This is a four-year scholarship and can only be applied to courses taken during the fall and spring semesters.
