The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Army ROTC Scholarships are available to high school seniors and first- and second-year Army ROTC students. Army ROTC instruction is provided on campus for first- and second-year students, and at Siena College for juniors and seniors. The Army ROTC program has two phases: a basic course, normally taken during the freshman and sophomore years, and an advanced course, normally taken during the junior and senior years. Army ROTC scholarships help students pay their tuition while training to become an officer. In addition to the awarded scholarship, each recipient receives a flat rate of $1,200 annually for books, supplies, and equipment, as well as up to $1,500 in tax-free spending funds. Army ROTC scholarships also provide monthly living allowances for each school year; amounts vary ($300 - $500 per month) based on curriculum level. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
