The Luther College Imagine Fellowship is available to students who have specific interests and passions, especially if they fall outside the student's intended major or are challenging to pursue in a traditional academic setting. They must be independent and intentional enough to plan and execute an educational experience. They must also be motivated to learn beyond campus (and potentially abroad). Recipients are selected based on an assessment of each student's potential promise as a student and a scholar, his or her capacity and passion to engage in creative and self-directed learning, and the student's ability to translate learning into service to others. While the Imagine Fellowship is not executed until a student's junior or senior year, the application is only open to incoming first-year students and by invitation.
