The Minnesota GI Bill program was established in 2007 to provide postsecondary financial assistance to eligible Minnesota veterans and service members as well as eligible spouses and children of deceased or severely disabled eligible Minnesota veterans. The program is administered by the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA). The Minnesota GI Bill provides funding for eligible applicants who are in a Title IV-eligible certificate, diploma, undergraduate or graduate program. The Minnesota GI Bill can also be used for undergraduate or graduate admission tests; a preparatory course for a qualifying admission test; and national tests providing an opportunity for course credit at institutions of higher learning.
