The Foundation's largest program, the Annual Scholarship Grant Program, is co-administered with a group of universities and colleges affiliated with the AHLA Foundation. Each year, the Foundation administers nine scholarship programs, which award scholarships valued up to $7,500, for students enrolled in hospitality-related bachelor or graduate degree programs at colleges and universities across the US., list of affiliated schools can be found in the scholarship site. A minimum overall GPA of 3.0 (2.0 if receiving Conrad Hilton Funds), a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, completed 1-2 years of school depending on the program. These affiliated schools agree to co-administer Foundation scholarships with us. In return for receiving an annual scholarship grant, the school selects the student recipients and award amounts based upon AHLA Foundation criteria. Schools also assist in the disbursement process. Qualifying majors include programs such as hotel/restaurant management, culinary arts, travel/tourism and hotel administration. Applicants are not evaluated on any one thing. All applicants must be enrolled in a hospitality degree-granting program at a US college or university. Other things the scholarship committee reviews include: Financial need, GPA, Extracurricular activities, Honors and awards, Work experience, including hospitality work experience, Personal attributes, Responses to essay questions. If applying for a specific named scholarship, please check the site for the additional documentations you may need for it.
