1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
Established in 2002, this scholarship is made possible through a donation from NAHJ founding member Maria Elena Salinas. This scholarship is offered to students pursuing journalism careers in either English or Spanish-language. Students pursuing Spanish-language journalism must submit their essay in Spanish. Students must be attending four-year colleges and community colleges in the United States and Puerto Rico. Two references from people who are familiar with the applicant's academic and/or journalism work must be submitted. Three work samples are required.
