Maryland Higher Education Commission/Edward T. and Mary A. Conroy Memorial Scholarship Program

Awarded to current high school seniors, full-time and part-time, degree-seeking undergraduates and graduate students. Must meet the following eligibility requirements: dependent of a member of the US Armed forces whose death and disability resulted from military service; a veteran suffering from service-connected disability; dependent of a victim of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks; a POW/MIA or dependent of a POW/MIA of the Vietnam Conflict; dependent of a state or local public safety employee or volunteer whose death or disability resulted from service; a state or local public safety employee or volunteer whose disability resulted from service; a veteran or dependent of a veteran who either suffers a service-connected disability and has exhausted or is no longer eligible for federal veterans’ educational benefits; dependent of a school employee who, as a result of an act of violence either died in the line of duty or sustained an injury in the line of duty that rendered the school employee 100% disabled.
