The University of Northern Colorado is a public university. Founded as a Normal School in 1890, it gained university status in 1970. Programs are offered through the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Health and Human Services, and Performing and Visual Arts. Its 236-acre campus is located in Greeley, 50 miles north of Denver.
