Texas A&M - Kingsville is a public, comprehensive university. Founded as a teachers' college in 1925, it gained university status in 1967. The university offers programs through the Colleges of Agriculture and Home Economics, Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Education, Engineering, and Graduate Studies. Its 250-acre campus is located in Kingsville, 40 miles southwest of Corpus Christi.
