1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Jonathan Ed Hara Scholarship Fund was created in 2020 to honor Jonathan Hara, a fire emergency medical specialist stationed at the South Kohala Fire Station, and supports students who graduated from a Hawaii Island public high school seeking an associate's or bachelor's degree preferably in Fire Science or Mobile Intensive Care Technician. The donor requires the applicants to be a graduate of a Hawaii Island high school or a Hawaii Island resident who obtained a homeschool high school diploma. Preference is for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing.
