1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Dr. Julius Bajet Soria Memorial Scholarship was established in honor of Julius Bajet Soria, PhD who was an assistant professor at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Dr. Soria inspired and empowered college and high school students to achieve their educational goals. The purpose of the scholarship is to support students of Filipino descent to pursue higher education at an accredited college or university. Applicants must be of Filipino ancestry, with preference to those of Ilokano ancestry. Undergraduate applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and graduating high school seniors must have a minimum GPA of 3.5. Applicants must be a graduate of a Hawaii public high school.
