1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
Miriam E. Kay was a life-long educator. She taught children and adults all over the world throughout her life. Miriam firmly believed in the transforming power of education over hardship. The Miriam E. Kay Memorial Scholarship was established to continue her legacy in helping the dream of a college education become a reality for Hispanic students with her same passion for learning. Applicants must be a current graduating student from Center Point High School, Comfort High School, Harper High School, Ingram High School, Our Lady of the Hills High School, and Tivy High School. The scholarship is renewable for four years. Recipients must submit a copy of an official college transcript of their grades each year in order to receive funds for successive years. Selection is based on academic and extracurricular achievement, community service, and financial need. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country for more information.
