1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Russ Cotney and Lauren Cotney Professional Airline Pilot Career Scholarship was established in honor of Maj. Gen. (ret.) William Russell Cotney and his daughter Lauren Cotney who followed in her father's footsteps. Successful applicants must be women pursuing a professional airline pilot career enrolled in an accredited college or university aviation, engineering, or aeronautical science program. Preference will be given to veterans, current service members, or daughters of veterans or current service members. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation from faculty members, flight instructors, or pilots who have flown with them. Applicants must be a current member of Women in Aviation International by October 1, 2024, and their membership must not expire before March 2025.
