1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The purpose of the Gilbert Matching Scholarship (GMSGP) is to make funds available to participating Massachusetts independent institutions of higher education and schools of nursing. One hundred percent must be used for direct financial assistance to needy Massachusetts undergraduate students to enable such students to attend or continue to attend such institutions. To be eligible, a student must be a dependent student who is a permanent legal resident of Massachusetts and whose source of support is a parent who has been a permanent resident of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the 12 months prior to the opening of the academic year; or an independent student who has been a permanent resident of the Commonwealth for the 12 months immediately preceding the opening of the academic year. They must be U.S. Citizens or non-citizens eligible under Title IV regulations. They must be maintaining satisfactory academic progress in accordance with institutional and federal standards.
