Applicants must have a membership with the Metis Nation of Alberta or a Metis Settlement. If you are in the process of receiving citizenship or membership, you will need to upload a letter saying you have applied for it. Eligible programs include certificates, diplomas, applied degrees, undergraduate or professional degrees, and academic upgrading. Students must indicate how completion of study will help them gain admission to a post-secondary program or lead to future gainful employment. Graduate or professional programs are eligible when they are required to gain certification in a field. This includes: Law, Medicine, Speech Pathology, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy. Graduate programs which are primarily academic in nature or where employment can be obtained with an undergraduate degree are not eligible for funding.
