1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
Percy Conrad was a longtime resident of Cordova, Alaska. He established the Percy and Laura Conrad Memorial Scholarship to benefit the community that welcomed him when he first arrived. Percy's idea of Marine Biology is not limited to the study and development of the ocean for commercial and personal purposes, but includes the rivers and streams running into it. He recognizes a need to protect, preserve, and renew fresh water features for commercial and personal use. Applicants must be graduating seniors from Cordova High School, Cordova, AK. They must continue their education at an accredited college or university during the upcoming school year. Preference will be given to students attending the University of Alaska or the University of Washington.
