All scholarship candidates must be enrolled in a 4-year college or university program and about to embark on their sophomore, junior, or senior year; or be accepted, or already enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school and about to embark on their first, second, or third year of law school; wish to pursue, or already be pursuing a career in the legal profession; have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0 at their current college, university, or law school; and submit an application, resume, unofficial transcripts, and an essay discussing why the candidate wishes to pursue a career in the legal profession. The essay must be no less than 3,000 words. The application deadline is March 1 of each year. Selected candidates will be notified no later than April 1 of the same year.
