Four years after Patient Advocate Foundation's inception, founder Nancy Davenport-Ennis created Patient Advocate Foundation's Scholarship for Survivors program after witnessing multiple recurring counts of patients whose post-secondary education had been impacted due to their life-threatening, chronic or debilitating illness. Despite their condition, these students excelled academically, served the community, and demonstrated the drive and desire to attend college. The purpose of our scholarship program is to provide support to individuals, under the age of 25, who have been diagnosed with or treated for cancer and/or a chronic/life threatening disease within the past five years.
