1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Young Artist Scholarships will be distributed to up to four musicians based on the judge's decisions. The competition is open to high school vocal and instrumental students in grades 10-12 who are performing at or above WSMA Class A. While their piece must be at this level, it need not be on their actual list. Those who have received a Young Artist Scholarship in two consecutive years will be ineligible for a third scholarship. During the audition, four to six minutes of performance time is required. For Instrumentalists, they must perform one piece or one movement of a multi-movement piece. For Vocalists, they must prepare two contrasting classical pieces; one in a foreign language and one in English. A musical theater piece may be substituted for the piece in English. All applicants are expected to perform with an accompanist and must provide their own. Please visit the award's website for more information.
