Need-based scholarship of up to $6800 for a high school senior planning to attend a four-year HBCU. Applicants must demonstrate the ability and desire to use artistic activism to proactively address the concerns of humanity. Eligible majors include African American studies, communications, education, fine arts, humanities, performing arts, political science, social sciences, theater arts/drama and visual arts. The scholarship is renewable for up to 4 years, provided that students continue to meet the scholarship criteria. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Eligible colleges are Benedict College, Bethune Cookman University, Claflin University, Clark Atlanta University, Florida Memorial University, Howard University, Lane College, Miles College, Morehouse College, Spelman College, Virginia Union University or Xavier University of Louisiana.
