American Institute of Architects/AIA/F Diversity Advancement Scholarship

The AIA/F Diversity Advancement Scholarship provides assistance to high school graduates, college freshmen, and community college students from a minority and/or financially disadvantaged background who intend to pursue a NAAB-accredited professional degree in Architecture. A professional degree is either a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture degree or a 4+2 pre-professional Bachelor degree followed by a Master of Architecture degree. At least two letters of recommendation are required from any of the following: an architect; an AIA component; a community design center representative; a guidance counselor or teacher; a director of a community, civic, or religious organization; or the dean, administrative head, or professor at a NAAB-accredited professional program. All applicants must be a U.S. citizen. All applications must be submitted via the online portal.
