1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
Each year, the Mary P. Oenslager Scholastic Achievement awards are presented to Learning Ally members who are completing undergraduate or graduate degrees, and who are blind or visually impaired, in recognition of academic achievement, outstanding leadership, and service to others. Applicants must have received, or will receive, a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree from an accredited four-year college or university in the United States or its territories between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023. Learning Ally awards top winners $6,000 each and special honors winners $3,000 each. All scholarship awardees must be capable and willing to publicly share their story and represent Learning Ally as a spokesperson and advocate at various local, virtual and national events. The personal narrative may be in writing and video form. One letter of recommendation for this award from someone (must be a non-relative and not a legal guardian) who has had a positive influence/impact on your academic performance and success must be submitted.
