Kenyon College, founded in 1824, is a church-affiliated, liberal arts college. Students are attracted to Kenyon for its superior academic reputation, quality of teaching, campus beauty and intellectual community. Poets, scientists, philosophers, artists, actors, football players and dancers find common ground at Kenyon, as do students of different races, socioeconomic standing and political persuasions. This union of academic excellence and a close-knit community adds to Kenyon's uniqueness. Its 800-acre campus is located 45 miles north of Columbus. Campus architecture is primarily Gothic in style.
