It is a comprehensive university with a solid liberal arts core, a commitment to excellent teaching and a strong Catholic Jesuit tradition. The university prepares its students for leadership and service in a changing world. It connects classroom reflection and study with real-world experience by an extensive internship program and strong community outreach program. Students are educated with a sense of ethics and responsibility for the community at large. Its 200-acre campus is located two miles from Long Island Sound and 60 miles from New York City.
