SUNY New Paltz, founded in 1828, is a public, multipurpose institution of arts and sciences. In a world made small by technology, it serves as a model for other institutions. Through curriculum and cultural experiences, the college reaches out to bridge the gaps that separate the world community and to serve the growing number of students seeking study and career opportunities in the international field. The catalog lists more than 100 courses with an international focus, and the range of faculty expertise is impressive. In addition to a resident faculty drawn from many nations, a visiting faculty from such countries as China, Hungary, Spain, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Japan, France, Italy and Korea provides unique perspectives to a student's education. Its 216-acre campus is located in New Paltz, 75 miles from Albany.

COLLEGEdata Dollars (CD$) are points you earn by completing certain COLLEGEdata activities. The maximum number of CD$ you can redeem is 5000. Once you have earned at least 2500 CD$, you can redeem them for $25, which will be provided to you on a Loyalty Card, and once you earn another 2500 CD$, you can redeem those CD$ for a second $25, which will also be provided to you on a Loyalty Card.
