Marywood is a church-affiliated, liberal arts university. Founded as a college for women in 1915, it adopted coeducation in 1964. Undergraduate programs are offered through the residential school for women and the nonresidential, coeducational school; graduate programs are also offered. Its 115-acre campus is located in Scranton, 120 miles north of Philadelphia.
