Manhattan is a church-affiliated, liberal arts college. Founded in 1853, it adopted coeducation in 1974. Programs are offered through the Schools of Arts, Business, Education and Human Services, Engineering, and Science. Its 26-acre campus is located in the Riverdale section of New York City, 17 miles from Times Square.
