Mercy College, founded in 1950, is a private, multipurpose college. Its allied health sciences programs include bridge programs that combine a bachelor's degree with a master's degree in physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistance, or acupuncture and oriental medicine. Other classes are small and flexible to accommodate the schedules of nontraditional students. Its 90-acre campus is located in Dobbs Ferry in Westchester County, 30 miles from New York City.
