LaSalle University, founded in 1863, is an urban, coeducational, Catholic university located in Philadelphia. The university is run by the Christian Brothers, an order dedicated to education. LaSalle offers a focus on a liberal arts education and a practical career education to meet industry needs. Programs are offered through the Schools of Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, and Nursing. The small class sizes help develop bonds between the faculty and students, resulting in educational experiences in and outside the classroom. A focus on community service provides students, faculty and staff an excellent opportunity to provide services to the surrounding community. The school''s location opens up a world of resources to its students, making internships, co-ops and student life a rewarding experience. Its 100-acre campus is located in a residential area of Philadelphia. Campus architecture ranges from Gothic to modern.
