Marist College is a private, liberal arts college. Founded as a college for men in 1929, it adopted coeducation in 1968. Its focus on technology in the educational experience provides students with today's most advanced learning tools. The fully networked campus includes a voice and data telecommunications system that extends to all areas of the college and worldwide through the Internet. Students enjoy a user-friendly curriculum that provides for dual majors, a major and minor option, extensive internship opportunities or a unique study abroad program. The Honors Program is open to all majors and is tailor-made to students' needs. The college's location on the Hudson River is ideal for environmental studies. In addition, the Hudson Valley offers a unique opportunity for the study of history, political science and the arts. Its 150-acre campus is located in Poughkeepsie, 75 miles north of New York City.
